AFTER EVENT
POST - EVENT REPORT
Our discussion and sharing topic is "Mediation in Medical Dispute; Peep Before You Leap," with the goal of comprehensively exposing and educating society on the subject. Our live session was scheduled for Saturday, December 18th, 2021, commencing at 9:00 p.m. and ending around 10:00 p.m. The event was broadcast simultaneously on two online platforms: WebEx and Facebook Live.
The engagement and support for this event was overwhelmingly positive, with about 50 individuals joining us on the day of the event via WebEx and Facebook Live, which exceeded the number of people we had anticipated. The event went off without a hitch, with a few inevitable glitches along the way, but we believe our major objective for this event, which was to be an assist to the society by boosting public knowledge about medical dispute mediation was accomplished. Our sincere gratitude to our distinguished speaker, Dr. Nizam Bin Ishak, for his enthusiasm to collaborate with us on this initiative.

The public's enthusiasm on the topic and interaction with the speaker was apparent on the day of the event, as evidenced by the multitude of questions we received during the Q & A session, some of which were repetitive and others with substantially more complicated queries. Nonetheless, our speaker kindly answered the questions with an open mind, as well as sharing extra information along the way.

Overall, the event was a success, based on the warm response from the participants. Our objective is that by holding this event, we will be able to raise awareness and build a greater understanding of the public's involvement in medical dispute resolution specifically, by way of mediation.
Additionally, this event also allows us to have a deeper insight on the subject Alternative Dispute Resolution that we are currently studying. Our E-Sulam initiative would not have been as effective without the assistance of our lecturer from UUM's School of Law, Dr. Rohizan Halim, who deserves special recognition. Not to mention the support from our fellow batch mates as well. Thank you for all of your help and guidance along the way!

EVENT FEEDBACK SUMMARY
After our live session, we created a feedback form on "Mediation in Medical Disputes" and distributed it to the participants. The purpose of the feedback form is to improve quality and performance in the future, particularly in terms of soft skills of our group. It was accomplished using a Google form. There are four compulsory questions on the feedback form that must be addressed. During the live session on Cisco Webex, we provided the link to the feedback form in the comment section and received 27 responses. Here is a summary of the input we received.
Demographic- Age
We discover from the feedback form that the demographic question on age has 23 respondents (85.1 %) in the 20 to 23 age group. In addition, 4 respondents (14.9 %) are between the ages of 24 and 44 years old. This demonstrates that this program addressed a wide range of age groups, achieving one of the program's purposes of raising public knowledge about alternative dispute resolution, notably mediation in medical disputes.
Question Two: Would you recommend the use of Mediation to your family members and friends in the future?
The pie chart illustrates the percentage of respondents who would recommend Mediation to relatives and friends in the future. There are 27 people who have responded to this question. ‘Yes’ is selected by 100% of respondents, indicating that everyone who fills out this feedback form agrees to recommend mediation as a method of resolving a conflict. It can be inferred that the live session's content has aided viewers in better understanding the nature of mediation, which is a less expensive for parties seeking an effective response to medical conflicts.
Question One: In your opinion, did you get anything out of this program?
The content of our live session was extremely well received by 19 respondents (70.4 %). Meanwhile, the remaining 8 respondents (29.6%) gave a score of 4 out of 5 for satisfaction. As a result, it can be concluded that the live session was informative and that the material was properly communicated to the participants. We are glad to get these favourable responses, as the majority of the respondents learned about the use of mediation as an alternative to litigation in settling medical negligence cases in Malaysia.

Question Three: In your opinion, are you satisfied with the program?
We provide a scale for respondents to evaluate their satisfaction with the live event, ranging from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent). The results suggest that the respondents did not choose a scale from 1 to 2. The majority of the respondents were very satisfied with the live event, with 19 respondents (70.4%) choosing scale 5, and 7 respondents (25.9%) choosing scale 4. We also noticed that 1 respondent (3.75) opted to rate 3 out of a possible 5 scales. Based on these findings, we can conclude that the majority of respondents were pleased with the live event that we held through Cisco Webex.
